This book is essential for any serious declutterer. It could convert even the most die-hard clutter collector. It will change the way you think about all your possessions and may even put you off shopping! Don Aslett's humorous writing style makes all of his books really enjoyable.

Great for: This book will inspire you to leap up fom your chair and do something about your surplus possessions.

Another must-have from the guru of clutter-fighters. This is a hands-on guide to clearing out your clutter. It also deals effectively with all those feeble excuses, such as "It will be useful one day". Don Aslett's humorous writing style makes all of his books really enjoyable.

Great for: A really practical aid to the business of getting rid of clutter.

Lighten Up! Free Yourself from Clutter
by Michelle Passof
This book's strength is that it deals with the emotional and psychological effects and hurdles to decluttering.

Great for: Some interesting ideas on the emotional impact of clearing out your clutter. Also some practical advice on how to do it.

 

The Simple Living Guide
by Janet Luhrs
This book has a good chapter on clutter and its whole philsophy should appeal to declutterers because the aim of simplifying our lives is shared by us all.

Great for: This book's 'whole-istic' approach goes beyond decluttering possessions and deals with every aspect of your life and activities.
